John John- 6 Months Old!

6 Month Stats:
15 lbs. 15 ounces (25th percentile)
26.5 inches long (50th percentile)

We can hardly believe that HALF A YEAR has passed since we welcomed our sweet little John John to the world!  He is the BEST baby.  He never cries.  He sleeps like a dream for 12 hours a night, and two naps a day.  He happily plays with this noggin stick rattle (a clear favorite- from Auntie Molly) on his play mat.  He babbles, says dadadadaddadada, sits up really well, army crawls, scoots backwards, and gets on all fours and rocks back and forth.

We are all absolutely smitten with our John John!  He sticks his tongue out constantly.  It's so cute, but kind of a picture steeler.  :)  Life with this little guy is certainly fun!  We love watching him grow.  He watches everything his big sisters do!  The poor kid probably has the entire frozen soundtrack committed to his conscience.  Do you see therapy in his future?  Me too.  :)

Another baby!

Don't worry, it's not mine.  :)  My brother and sister-in-law are having a baby boy at the end of this month, and we are BEYOND excited!!  It's a boy, and he and John will be just 7 months apart!  I have no doubt that five-years-in-the-future-John rejoices for the diversion from his life in the all pink and glitter palace.

We know Katy and Jake will be wonderful parents and my mom and I were so excited to throw Katy a shower to getting the spoiling off on the right foot!

Hooray for Grandmas!

Daddy Daughter Dance 2014!

Marin and Daddy headed to the Daddy/Daughter Dance again this year.  Emilie is really excited to finally be able to go next year, since she'll be three.

Marin and Daddy had a great time again, meeting 6 other daddy/daughter couples for pizza at Cotto A Legna, after exchanging flowers at home.  Then they hit the dance floor in style and danced the night away.  Everyone came home with good stories to tell and Marin was tired!

Marin's Family Birthday Celebration!

After we cleaned up from Marin's Birthday party, and sent her to and from another little friends birthday party, we headed to my parent's house to celebrate her birthday with our immediate family.

Aunt Lindsay made the trip, and Grandma and Grandpa honored all of her requests and made her favorites- spaghetti, peas, corn, and homemade garlic bread.  And for dessert, ice cream sundaes with whipped cream and cherries.

After dinner, we opened Marin's presents.  Highlights were golf clubs from Jason and I, and the American Girl doll, Emily, from my parents.  We had a great day celebrating our five year old!

Marin "LOVES" a party!

25 five year olds under one roof for two hours.  Need I say more?
I give you, Marin's 5th birthday party:
